Author Guidelines

Manuscript File Format

The manuscript file should contain:

• Complete text with figures, tables, chemical structures, and graphs inserted at appropriate positions
• DO NOT place all figures and tables at the end of the document
• Use the journal-specific template whenever possible
• Maintain high-quality figures suitable for publication
• Ensure all elements are properly formatted and legible

Supplementary Materials

Supplementary data should be submitted as separate files and may include:

• Extended data sets and raw data files
• Additional figures and tables
• Video files and multimedia content
• Detailed experimental procedures
• Software code and algorithms
• Large-scale data analyses

Required Sections (in order)

• Title: Concise and informative, reflecting the main findings
• Author(s): All contributing authors with complete affiliations
• Affiliation(s): Full institutional names, addresses, and contact information
• Abstract: Structured abstract following journal-specific requirements
• Keywords: 5-6 relevant keywords for indexing purposes
• Main Body: Organized according to journal and article type requirements
• Acknowledgments: Recognition of funding, technical support, and contributors
• References: Following RSYN RESEARCH LLP citation format
• Supporting Information: Brief description of supplementary materials

Article-Specific Sections

Full Research Articles:

• Introduction
• Materials and Methods (or Experimental Section)
• Results and Discussion
• Conclusions

Short Communications:

• May use a simplified structure without formal section divisions
• Should still include all required elements in logical order

Review Articles:

• Introduction
• Main body with appropriate subsections
• Future Perspectives
• Conclusions

Accepted Citation Formats

Authors may choose any of the following citation styles:

• APA 7th Edition (American Psychological Association)
• IEEE Style (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers)
• ACS Style (American Chemical Society)

Important: Once a citation style is chosen, it must be used consistently throughout the entire manuscript, including in-text citations and reference list formatting.

APA 7th Edition Format

In-text Citations:

• Single author: (Smith, 2023)
• Two authors: (Smith & Johnson, 2023)
• Three or more authors: (Smith et al., 2023)
• Multiple sources: (Smith, 2023; Johnson, 2022)

Installation Instructions

For Zotero:

1. Open Zotero → Edit → Preferences → Cite
2. Click "Get additional styles"
3. Search for your chosen style (APA, IEEE, or ACS)
4. Install and select for use in manuscripts

For Mendeley:

1. Open Mendeley → View → Citation Styles → More styles
2. Search for your chosen style in "Get more styles" tab
3. Click "Install" and then "Use this style"

For EndNote:

1. Built-in styles available in Output Styles menu
2. For custom ACS style: Download .ens file and install
3. Select appropriate style before formatting bibliography

Note: Ensure your chosen citation management tool is set to the same style throughout your manuscript preparation process.

Registration

1. Visit the specific journal website
2. Click "Register" and create an account
3. **Important:** Select both "Author" and "Reviewer" roles during registration
4. Complete all required profile information
5. Verify email address before proceeding

Submission Steps

1. **Login** to your account on the target journal website
2. **Click** "New Submission" from your dashboard
3. **Complete** all required metadata fields
4. **Upload** manuscript file and supplementary materials
5. **Provide** suggested reviewers list
6. **Confirm** APC understanding and agreement
7. **Submit** for editorial consideration

Note: Email submissions are not accepted. Only online submissions through the editorial management system will be processed.

Template Availability

• Legacy template: Older Word format (.doc) for compatibility
• LaTeX template: For advanced users (select journals)
• Instructions: Video and written guidance for template use

Template Usage

1. Download the appropriate template from the journal website
2. Open the template file in Microsoft Word
3. Replace placeholder text with your content
4. Maintain all formatting and styles
5. Save with a descriptive filename
6. Submit through the online system

Conflict of Interest Declaration

All authors must declare any conflicts of interest, including:

• Financial relationships with organizations relevant to the research
• Personal relationships that might influence the work
• Academic or professional competing interests
• Any other interests that could create bias or the appearance of bias

Declaration placement:

• In the cover letter during submission
• In the manuscript after the acknowledgments section
• If no conflicts exist, state: “The authors declare no conflicts of interest.”

Research Ethics Approval

For research involving human subjects:

• Provide institutional review board (IRB) approval documentation
• Include participant consent procedures
• Confirm compliance with Declaration of Helsinki principles
• Maintain participant privacy and confidentiality

For animal research:

• Demonstrate compliance with institutional animal care guidelines
• Provide ethics committee approval
• Follow national and international animal welfare standards
• Include details of humane treatment procedures

For environmental research:

• Provide necessary permits and approvals
• Demonstrate compliance with environmental regulations
• Include sustainability considerations

Helsinki Declaration Compliance

When reporting experiments on human subjects, authors must indicate whether procedures followed the ethical standards of:

• Responsible institutional review committees
• National ethical guidelines
• Helsinki Declaration of 1975 (as revised in 2013)

If any doubt exists about Helsinki Declaration compliance, authors must explain their rationale and demonstrate explicit institutional review board approval for any questionable aspects.
