This comprehensive Open Access Policy establishes our framework for making research freely available to the global community, thereby maximizing visibility, impact, and the acceleration of discovery. We firmly believe that high-quality content should be readily accessible to foster greater research development and innovation.

This policy applies to all articles published on or after August 1, 2025. Articles published prior to this date will adhere to their original article-level terms.

Foundational Principles

RSYN RESEARCH LLP's Open Access framework is built upon four fundamental pillars:

• Accessibility: Ensuring immediate and free online access to published research where applicable.
• Dissemination: Maximizing the reach and impact of scholarly work globally.
• Innovation: Accelerating research and development by removing access barriers.
• Transparency: Clearly outlining open access options, licensing, and associated costs for all our journals.

Policy Scope

This policy governs all scholarly content published in journals under RSYN RESEARCH LLP's auspices, encompassing both fully Open Access (Gold OA) journals and hybrid journals that offer an Open Access option. This includes:

• Peer-reviewed journal articles across all disciplines.
• Special issues and supplements within journals.
• Digital content and multimedia presentations associated with journal articles.
• Research datasets and supplementary materials linked to journal publications.
• Conference proceedings and abstracts published as journal supplements or dedicated volumes.
• Preprints and postprints, as defined in our Preprint Policy.

Definition of Open Access

Open Access, in the context of RSYN RESEARCH LLP, refers to the practice of providing unrestricted online access to peer-reviewed scholarly research. This means that users can read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles without financial, legal, or technical barriers other than those inseparable from gaining access to the internet itself.

Article Processing Charges (APCs)

APCs apply to articles published under the Gold Open Access model or when an author chooses the Open Access option in a Hybrid journal.

Payment Process: APCs are typically paid after the manuscript has undergone peer review and been accepted for publication. Invoices are issued upon acceptance. Payments are processed through PayPal for international transactions and UPI for payments in Indian Rupees.

Author Consent: Submission of an article to any RSYN RESEARCH LLP journal implies the presumed consent of the author(s) to pay the required APC should they opt for Open Access or publish in a fully Gold Open Access journal.

APC Revisions: APC rates may be revised biannually (in June and December).

Discounts and Offers

Authors may claim applicable discounts (e.g., reviewer discounts, publishing discount tokens) at the time of billing by contacting the editorial office.

Further details on available discounts and offers can be found at rsynresearch.com/offers. Please note that promotional pricing and special offers are applicable for a limited time and are subject to change without prior notice.

Current offers include:

• Women Empowerment: If all authors of an article are women, a 50% discount on the Full APC is applied. This offer cannot be combined with any other offer.
• First Article: If this is your first article or book chapter published with RSYN RESEARCH LLP, you receive a 50% discount on the Full APC. This offer cannot be combined with any other offer.
• New Journal Promotion: For the first two volumes of a newly launched journal, highly discounted APCs apply:
  • Indian Authors: INR 590 (up to 6 pages), INR 1180 (up to 20 pages).
  • International Authors: USD 20 (up to 6 pages), USD 40 (up to 20 pages).
• Conference Proceedings:
  • 50 Abstracts with DOI: INR 25,000 / USD 500
  • 100 Abstracts: INR 45,000 / USD 1000

Licensing and Copyright

Subscription-based Journals/Articles: For articles published under a subscription model (whether in a hybrid journal or a traditional subscription journal), copyright is transferred to RSYN RESEARCH LLP.

Open Access Articles: For articles published as Open Access (in either Gold OA or hybrid journals), copyright is retained by the authors. Reproduction rights are granted to RSYN RESEARCH LLP. Open Access articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International Public License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0).

Under the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license:

You are free to:

• Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.
• The licensor cannot revoke these freedoms as long as you follow the license terms.

Under the following terms:

• Attribution — You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use.
• NonCommercial — You may not use the material for commercial purposes.
• NoDerivatives — If you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you may not distribute the modified material.
• No additional restrictions — You may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from doing anything the license permits.

Author Rights and Responsibilities for Open Access Content

• Copyright Retention: Authors publishing Open Access articles retain copyright, enabling them to maximize the dissemination and impact of their work.
• Permitted Uses: Authors and users are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of Open Access articles for academic, research, and any other non-commercial uses, provided proper attribution is given and no derivatives are created.
• Reuse of Own Work: Authors are free to reuse their own published Open Access articles (e.g., in dissertations, future books, teaching materials) without further permission from RSYN RESEARCH LLP, provided the original publication is appropriately cited.
• Post-Publication Responsibilities: Authors are responsible for ensuring any self-archiving or redistribution of their Open Access articles adheres strictly to the terms of the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license.

Archiving and Preservation

RSYN RESEARCH LLP is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation of all published content, regardless of its access model.

All Open Access articles will be deposited in reputable digital archives (e.g., Portico, CLOCKSS, or equivalent) to ensure perpetual access, even in the unlikely event that RSYN RESEARCH LLP ceases to operate.

Authors are encouraged to archive the final published version (Version of Record) of their Open Access articles in institutional or subject-specific repositories (Green Open Access), adhering to the terms of the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license and our specific preprint policy.

Peer Review Process

The chosen access model of a journal or article does not influence the rigor and quality of our peer review process. All submitted articles, whether intended for Open Access or subscription, undergo the same stringent, impartial, and expert peer review process as outlined in our Peer Review Policy, ensuring the highest standards of scholarly publishing.

Ethics and Publication Malpractice

RSYN RESEARCH LLP maintains an unwavering commitment to academic integrity and ethical publication practices across its entire journal portfolio. All submissions are subject to the comprehensive guidelines detailed in our “Academic Integrity and Publication Ethics Policy.” We employ cutting-edge technological solutions and rigorous human oversight to prevent, detect, and address any instances of academic misconduct.

Data Availability and Transparency

RSYN RESEARCH LLP strongly encourages authors to maximize the transparency and reproducibility of their research. Authors are encouraged to include a Data Availability Statement (DAS) in their manuscripts, indicating where their research data, code, and materials can be found (e.g., in publicly available repositories) and under what licensing terms.

Preprint Policy

RSYN RESEARCH LLP supports the early dissemination of research findings. Authors are permitted to post their manuscripts as preprints on recognized preprint servers (e.g., arXiv, bioRxiv, Preprints.org) at any stage prior to or concurrent with submission to an RSYN RESEARCH LLP journal. Upon acceptance and publication, authors are requested to update the preprint record with a link to the final published version (Version of Record) on the journal's website.

Citations and Impact

Publishing with RSYN RESEARCH LLP, particularly under an Open Access model, is designed to maximize the visibility and impact of your research. Open Access articles typically benefit from higher readership and citation rates, contributing significantly to authors' scholarly profiles and the overall advancement of their field.

Funding Body Compliance

RSYN RESEARCH LLP's Open Access models and licensing options are designed to assist authors in complying with the open access mandates of various research funders and institutions worldwide (e.g., Plan S, NIH Public Access Policy). Authors are advised to verify their funder's specific requirements.

Investigation and Enforcement (Relevant to APC Compliance and Article Value)

• Discretion for Publication Model: While specific journals may primarily be Gold Open Access, the Editor-in-Chief, in association with one editorial member and one management board member, reserves the right to publish an article under a subscription model even if it was submitted to a fully Open Access journal, particularly if the APC has not been paid and the article possesses significant academic value to the field.
• Consequences of Non-Payment: Failure to pay the required APC for an accepted article, leading to its publication under a subscription model, may result in the blacklisting of the author(s). Blacklisting may affect future publication opportunities with RSYN RESEARCH LLP.
• Withdrawal Policy: Once an article has been accepted for publication and the APC (if applicable) has been paid, withdrawal requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Refunds are generally not provided after acceptance and payment, except in exceptional circumstances determined by the Ethics Committee.

Review and Updates

This policy will undergo regular evaluation through:

• Annual policy review.
• Stakeholder feedback (authors, editors, readers).
• Industry benchmarking of open access practices.
• Technology assessment for improved dissemination and accessibility.
• Legal compliance checks regarding copyright and licensing.

Final Decision Authority

For any matter concerning publication within any RSYN RESEARCH LLP journal, including disputes, the decision of the Editor-in-Chief, made in association with one editorial member and one management board member, will be considered final and binding.
