Assistant Professor of Microbiology

Dr. Neethu Asokan is a microbiologist specializing in industrial microbiology, bioenergy production, and environmental biotechnology. She holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology from Periyar University, where her research focused on bioconversion of sago waste to butanol using solventogenic bacteria. Dr. Asokan has experience teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in microbiology and biotechnology. Her research interests include microbial biotechnology, biofuel production, nanobiotechnology, and bioremediation. She has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters in these areas.

In addition to her academic work, Dr. Asokan serves on the editorial boards of several international journals. She is a life member of the Indian Science Congress Association and the Microbiology Society.
